What if someone drops out, how do I know who was available?
While availability disappears from the availability page once the fixtures on that day pass there lockdate, it remains in the selection section until the fixture has been played. So if someone drops out of the selected team due to illness or injury etc you can see straight away who had made themselves available and speed up the process of finding a reserve.
How do I ensure everyone is using the system?
Once users have signed up for an account you can see on the directory page when they last logged in, this allows club admins to see how current any information is
Can fixtures on the same day have different lockdates?
The short answer is no. In order to provide the most flexibility availability and fixtures are completely separate in Clubhouse. A user doesnt have availability for a fixture, simply a day. So given that the lockdate is then the time by which a users availiabiltiy needs to be know for that fixture, a user has to enter his availability for that day by the lockdate. Simple enough. However if you have 2 fixtures on the same day with different lockdates, the latter date will still allow you to edit your availability for that date upto its lockdate and as availability is only related to a day that will affect the first fixture when it should already be locked.
So then I hear you ask, surely availability for a day should lock on the earliest lockdate of any fixture on that day? Exactly. However to enforce that relationship could be somewhat prohibitive. Essentially the key is to have the same lockdate for fixtures on the same day.
